We seek to cultivate wisdom and virtue by nourishing the child's soul with truth, goodness, and beauty so that, in Christ, the student is enabled to better know, glorify, and enjoy God. We also strive to assist families in achieving meaningful and lasting success in their home education program by using a classical model in a Christian community. Libertas Classical Community is a Christ-centered group that exists to provide accountability, community, and excellence in educating our children.

Our Mission

We use a homeschool-hybrid model, offering academic instruction and enrichment activities one to two days per week during the school year. A homeschool-hybrid model allows time during the week for both classroom instruction in community and home instruction

Our Model

We strive to operate as a servant of the family under the assumption that the education of young people is the responsibility of parents and the immediate family rather than the responsibility of the State. Our job as instructors and administrators is to recognize the role of parents as primarily responsible before God for the education of their children and to be prepared to assist them in that task.

Our Educational Philosophy
Our Statement of Faith

  • We believe in one God expressed in three persons as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • All are equal, pre-existent, and are eternally omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ, co-existent with the Father and Holy Spirit, was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary to become truly God and truly man. He lived a sinless life, and died a substitutionary death, paying for all the sins of mankind both past, present, and future. He was resurrected from the dead, conquering sin, hell, death, and the grave for all time, and offers salvation to anyone who repents and trusts in His shed blood for the remission of sin.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He is our Advocate until that time when He returns in triumph to earth to claim His bride, the Church. He will be the judge of the living and the dead, and will appoint the saved to eternal life and the lost to eternal separation from God in hell.

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit as the Indweller of every born again believer. He is the Comforter, Teacher, Gift-giver, and is responsible for the regeneration of believers, and for the ongoing sanctification, which conforms believers to the image of Christ.

  • We believe that man was created in God’s image and is the crown of His creation. However, since Adam’s disobedience in the garden, all mankind is born intending and bent on sinning and is utterly lost and without hope in regaining fellowship with God outside of receiving Christ’s blood atonement as the only sacrifice for sin. This salvation is free to all who will receive Christ by grace through faith.

  • We believe that the sixty-six books of the Bible are wholly inerrant, inspired by God, and divinely revealed to man. All that is needful for us to know concerning faith, conduct, and life is to be found in Holy Scripture.

All our work should glorify God and be consistent with the guiding principles in Scripture.
